Simon Cowell has got the Xmas factor showing off his buff body on the beach
With his dated flat-top hairstyle, he certainly won’t win any style awards and his high waisted trousers and fag in hand! But Simon Cowell has clearly taken great care to cultivate a winning look as he unveiled his buff and toned body on the beach. Holidaying in Barbados with pals Michael Winner and Sir Philip Green (has Sinitta gone home then?), the X Factor clearly stood out as he showed off his taut stomach, and lean physique.

Compared with the more rotund Green, and Winner, Simon, 49, was the clear winner in the battle of the beach bods, as strutted his stuff in the Caribbean. The men are all staying at the five-star Sandy Lane resort for the Christmas and New Year period (a 14-night stay is mandatory). The Sandy Lane Villa with personal chauffeur costs £27,500 a night – but it does include a cooked breakfast. Last year Cowell admitted going on a diet and was doing 200 press-ups a day in a bid to lose his man-boobs – and clearly it’s worked.
From flab to fab: Cowell admits he is vain, and made a concerted effort to shed the excess pounds he displayed in 2006. Britain’s highest paid TV star with an estimated fortune of £130 million, told the Daily Mail about the effort he took to preserve his looks. He said: ‘I am vain but I cannot think of one person on TV who is not. It is the nature of the beast. ‘I have had Botox but not in an obsessive way. I just like to take care of myself. I am eating a lot better and have cut out the chocolate biscuits and crisps. ‘I work out, take lots of vitamins and think I look good for my age.’
Cowell is soaking up the sunshine in the Caribbean as he holidays with ex-girlfriend Sinitta, Sir Philip Green, Chloe Green, and Michael Winner. Cowell and Green spent their Christmas Day, along with Green’s 17-year-old daughter Chloe, racing each other on jet-skis, as well as soaking up the Caribbean sun. Simon is enjoying a break after another ratings-winning run of show X Factor. His holiday companion, is ex-love Sinitta, with whom he’s spending a month-long Christmas holiday in the sun. The generous 49-year-old is treating her and her two children and the pair have been seen whizzing around on jet-skis.
He and Sinitta told Hello! magazine earlier this month how much they were looking forward to their rather unusual break together. ‘We’re so ready for this now. Simon’s been so flat out with work, he’s pretty much on his knees. And it’s been a difficult and emotional year for me too. ‘There’s been lots of good stuff too, but it will be nice to be in an environment where the world stops for a few weeks.’ Cowell recently split with girlfriend Terri Seymour.
